Since we are in an information age, database administrators are becoming a more popular position as well. Administrators manage the vast information storage and retrieval systems. They work to optimize the data flow. You can choose to get certifications in Oracle, SQL, and DB2.

Information technology is a broad field with many different positions and career options available. You can choose a specialization or stay with the generality of the field. Since information technology touches most every industry, you can work in a variety of different industries. Bear in mind that technology is ever changing. You will need to stay on top of the latest trends and certifications.
